Richard Edmonson

Richard Edmonson has been employed at UTRGV in various capacities since 2009. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from West Texas A&M University and his Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Texas-Pan American. Richard teaches Theatre Appreciation, Readings in Dramatic Literature, Contemporary Drama, Creative Drama, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Practicum. He has directed Antigone, The Miracle Worker, Evita, Real Women Have Curves, and To Kill a Mockingbird for the university main stage. In addition to teaching and directing, Richard also enjoys performing and was most recently seen as Herr Schultz in Cabaret and as Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd.
