Dr. Eleftherios Gkioulekas
Dr. Gkioulekas was raised in a small mining village, Stratonion, in Greece. He was inspired into a teaching career by the example of his High School Mathematics Teacher, Alexandros Pistofidis, and by independently studying all three volumes of the Feynman Lectures on Physics during the last 4 years of High School. For more information about his academic accomplishments, see his Curriculum Vita, or visit his faculty web page.
Areas of Expertise
My main research area is in Applied Mathematics and Engineering Mathematics, with specializations in fluid mechanics and statistical mechanics, currently concentrating on the theoretical study of hydrodynamic and geophysical turbulence.
