  • Areas of Expertise

    • o My research interests and areas of expertise are the preparation of teacher candidates for working with high numbers of Latino K-12 students; culturally and community asset-based perspectives for empowering the preparation of teachers; the role of culturally relevant pedagogy in student learning; disciplinary literacy practice of secondary teachers; Latino teacher candidate challenges with teacher certification exams relating to literacy and critical thinking.
